• Bulls must be clean of all known genetic defects to be eligible to sell. The bulls will be scanned by ultrasound in October and will undergo breeding soundness exams in November.
• Cattlemen are invited to a Calhoun Beef Cattle Seminar the evening prior to the sale. The 50th Annual Calhoun Bull Evaluation Sale will be Dec. 6 at 12:30 p.m.

The Hinds Community College Bull Test is a 112-day feed-based gain performance test conducted annually at the HCC Bull Test Station in Raymond, Miss. Cattlemen in Mississippi and surrounding states consign bulls to the test to gather pertinent information. The facility consists of eight pens, which combined can accommodate approximately 100 bulls.
