USDA Web Site to Feature Comparison of
Old & New Farm Legislation

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will release a side-by-side comparison of the old and new farm legislation on its farm bill Web site at http://www.ers.usda.gov/features/farmbill today.

The Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 comparison to the former farm bill will include:
• Side-by-side comparison, summarized by substantive, title by title
• Economic implications of selected farm bill provision
• Glossary of farm policy terms
• Links to background research by USDA’s Economic Research Service
• Updating of the site as new analysis proceeds
